First Post. Want To Keep "Roots" Alive

Hi Folks,

My Gal got me a plant for my new place as a lovely house warming gift. Unfortunately there is no documentation on what type of plant it is or what the care of it is. We've named it Roots but I fear she is showing signs of dying (tips of the leaves are changing colour). So far its been light and water. Any tips on what kind of plant this is and how I can make sure it prospours would be great. Thank you so much for any info!

-Rik
