Could anyone identify this cherry? It is very early blooming (the first to open in New York). cherry.jpg

Single, deep pink, slightly pendulus flowers clusters, but the tree itself upright. Research seems to point to Whitcomb cherry...but those blooms seem semi double. Prunus x subhirtella, I'm presuming, but then what??? I keep seeing it and it is driving me dotty.

A common one with this appearance is 'Okame'.
