About the Pacific Northwest Plant Sale (ARCHIVAL)

Specialty native plant nurseries from the southern coastal region of British Columbia offer over 250 species of plants native to the West Coast, from Alaska to northern California. Many of these plants are not commonly available outside of the Pacific Northwest Plant Sale. The Pacific Northwest Plant Sale provides one of the best opportunities in British Columbia to purchase native plants, meet nursery owners and learn how and why to grow native plants.

Plant sales will also be complemented with the addition of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) - food and related products made from sustainably harvested plants; and organic gardening products.

Learn! In addition to gleaning wisdom on care for your new plants from the nursery owners or from one of the native plant gardening demonstrations, learn more about native plants from some of the province's other keenest native plants people during one of the tours of the British Columbia Native Garden. Also, visit one the many exhibits by native plant and ecological organizations.

The Pacific Northwest Plant Sale is organized by the UBC Friends of the Garden and the Native Plant Society of British Columbia with the cooperation of the BC Landscape and Nursery Association Native Plant Committee.

A percentage of the proceeds from the Pacific Northwest Plant Sale are donated by the nursery participants to support the Native Plant Society of British Columbia and the BC Native Garden at the Botanical Garden.
