Lecture Details
The internationally renowned plantsman, innovative
garden designer, and author, Piet Oudolf, and his wife Anja, are coming
to Vancouver.
Piet will present a slide lecture, with topics that include their nursery
in Holland, Oudolfian plants that take a front row and backbone position in
his landscapes and established as well as recent projects. Piet has been
involved with projects of varying scale, from private gardens to large
commissions that include public spaces and commercial landscapes,
often collaborating with other landscape architects that dare to think
“outside the box”.
Some projects that have gained Piet international attention are the
“Dream Park” in Enkoping, Sweden, Gold Medal for Best in Show,
Chelsea 2000, the Millenium Garden in Chicago, The Gardens of Remembrance
at The Battery in New York and a courtyard at Hampton Court Palace in
England.
