One of the finest selections of gardening and botanical books in the Vancouver area is complemented by pieces both practical and whimsical from local artisans and artists. Apple Festival Thank You (2003)

This past weekend's Apple Festival was the most successful UBC Botanical Garden event to date, with just shy of 13 000 visitors to the garden participating in the festivities. Almost everything was sold out by the end of the festival, which could not have been predicted on Thursday or Friday, considering the heavy rainfall.

On behalf of the researchers and staff at UBC Botanical Garden, I'd like to express our gratitude.

Name The Apple Contest! (2003)

Agriculture and Agrifood Canada is hosting a Name The Apple contest. A new variety of apple needs a name, and Ag Canada is asking the public for help. This new variety was developed by the apple breeding program at the Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre in Summerland, British Columbia.
