The Great UBC Magnolia Sale (2009)
Updated April 2, 2009 -- thank you for your orders! There may be more next year, as well as a few choice plants available at this year's Collectors' Plant Auction.
Advance orders are now being accepted for the 2009 sale of hard-to-find magnolias.
Twelve choice cultivars are represented by over eighty trees.
For details on the plants being offered, please see the 2009 Rare Magnolia Sale fact sheet (PDF).
Please note:
All trees were grafted to Magnolia kobus root stock for hardiness and early flowering. Grafting was done in 2007. Trees were pot grown in 1 gallon air pruning containers under protection in a hoop house. Trees have excellent root systems, show strong growth, and are 75 to 100cm tall. Trees will be ready for pick up in late February 2009 at the Shop in the Garden at the UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Reseach.
GST & PST are extra.
To reserve your magnolia, call the Shop in the Garden at 604-822-4529 between 10am and 4:30pm (note holiday closure from Dec. 24 to Jan. 11 inclusive), or call Charlie at 604-929-5706 in the evenings.
