Details about the gardens:

UBC Botanical Garden: 6804 South West Marine Drive (Directions)

Situated on the Point Grey Campus of the University of British Columbia, UBC Botanical Garden offers visitors 110 acres of spectacular gardens. Featuring over 10,000 different plants on display, the Garden also offers a spectacular view of the Strait of Georgia and coastal mountains. Join with our experienced guides for daily tours, or enjoy the Garden at your leisure anytime during the conference.

The UBC Botanical Garden is fully handicapped accessible. We offer free scooter rental for guests with mobility issues, and are happy to tour groups to a maximum of 10 in our electric visitor carts (advance booking for this is required). Limited free parking is available on site, along with a Shop In the Garden and Café.

Nitobe Memorial Garden: 1895 Lower Mall (Directions)

The Nitobe Memorial Garden, a traditional Japanese Tea and Stroll Garden, is considered to be one of the most authentic Japanese gardens in North America. A quiet place of reflection, this garden offers a reprieve from the hectic pace of campus life. Our trained guides will escort you on a 1 hour tour of Nitobe and then leave you to enjoy the quiet peace of the Garden. Please feel free to visit often while on campus.

Limited access for handicapped patrons. Parking is available at the West Parkade, adjacent to the Asian Centre and Garden entrance. Bottled water is available on site.
