Perennial Plant Sale (2008)
Treat Mom on her special day to an outing at UBC Botanical Garden. Over 800 varieties of perennials, native plants, and rare and unusual hard-to-finds will be available, all at great prices (and grown by the FOG volunteers and garden staff).
Seeds from the Seedy Growers group and dried flower arrangements will also be available. Of course, the Shop in the Garden and Plant Centre will also be open for all of your gardening needs.
Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your horticultural and gardening questions. You can also learn more through one of the two free workshops: "What plants are best in the shade?" at 11:30 with Judy Newton and "Problem solving in your garden -- pests and diseases" (bring your questions and samples!) at 1:30 with Ingrid Hoff. Lastly, you can learn more about UBC Botanical Garden during one of the free tours @ 11:30, 12:30 or 1:30.
Visa, MasterCard and Debit accepted. No cheques accepted.
Bring a box, bag or crate to carry your plants home in!
And remember, no dogs on site!
Reminder: Park in the West Parkade and take the free shuttle to the Garden or use Translink: take the C-20 bus from the UBC bus loop or the 41st Avenue bus with a stop at 16th Ave and Marine Drive.
