Fraser Pacific Rose Society's 2006 Rose Show

The Fraser Pacific Rose Society's annual rose show is approaching. The 2006 Rose Show will be held June 24th & 25th at Dogwood Pavilion, 624 Poirier Street, Coquitlam BC (Sat 1-5 and Sun 11 - 4). General admission is $3.00.

“Everyone is welcome to exhibit roses in our show. You do not need to be a member of the Rose Society and there is no entry fee. You need only to bring your roses and the Rose Society will furnish all vases etc to put the finished entry on the table. All entries must be placed by 10:00 am on Saturday June 24th, after which judging will commence. We will be having a large "Floral Design" display again this year by the top Floral Designers in B.C. and would love to see additional entries for this imaginative art.

We are a group of rose Enthusiasts in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. The Society, (web site), is a non-profit educational organization serving rose gardeners throughout the Province of B.C. We are fortunate in our close relationship with the city of Coquitlam, which has afforded us a substantial rose garden adjacent to Dogwood Pavilion containing approximately 800 roses, which is open year round to the general public. The garden is wheelchair accessible.

Rose Society members volunteer their time to plant and maintain the garden on Saturday mornings and to serve as a teaching resource for our members. If you have rose growing questions or concerns, please feel free to visit the garden on a Saturday morning during the growing season to have your questions answered. Guests are also welcome at our regular meetings, the last Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Dogwood Pavilion, except August & December. Be sure to check out the rose garden when you visit the show.
