East Van Tour of Private Gardens

Calling all gardeners! Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 18th, 2006, the date of the 13th annual tour of private gardens in East Vancouver. This one-day tour (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) begins at Figaro’s Garden Centre (3rd Ave & Victoria Drive) and costs a reasonable $10 per person.

The tour is self-directed. Participants pick up a map of this year’s gardens at Figaro’s beginning at 9:30 a.m. The gardens in the tour are as varied as the gardeners: small or large, neat as a pin or wild as the wind, funky or formal, and there’s a wealth of great ideas and inspiration to take away for your own garden.

The East Van Tour of Private Gardens is co-sponsored by Britannia Community Centre and Figaro’s Garden Centre. Tickets are available from Britannia (604-718-5800) or Figaro’s (604-253-1696).
