The Healing Power of Plants

The Vancouver Hardy Plant Group welcomes Timothy Walker, superintendent of Oxford Botanic Garden, for a lecture titled The Healing Power of Plants on February 8 at 8 pm at H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, 1100 Chestnut Street, Vancouver. Mr. Walker describes his lecture; "…Humankind has exploited the medicinal properties of plants for centuries, yet the role of plants in modern medicine is still considered to be peripheral by many people. This thought provoking seminar attempts to put the record straight, demonstrating how plant products are used every day by all of us to relieve pain and suffering, to heal wounds and cure disease and the essential role that plants play in our general well being."

Tickets may be booked in advance - member tickets $5, non-members $8 or purchased at the door - members $8, non-members $8. For more information visit the VHPG events page or call 604-266-7667.
