David Suzuki - Why Biodiversity Matters in a Changing World
How did life diversify? What are the ecological interconnections in biodiversity? How does biodiversity matter to us? And, one of today's most pressing questions, how much biodiversity can we afford to lose?
David Suzuki will present a lecture titled, Why biodiversity matters in a changing world on October 13 at 7:00 pm at the UBC Life Sciences Centre – West Atrium – 2350 Health Sciences Mall. This is the inaugural public lecture in a series being presented by the Beaty Museum of Natural History of the UBC Biodiversity Research Centre.
In this public lecture series, prominent scientists, artists, and public figures will share their perspectives on biodiversity. For more info and to obtain free tickets (required for admission) go to www.biodiversity.ubc.ca or call 604-822-0862.
