First Annual UBC Farm Research and Education Symposium


You are invited to the first annual UBC Farm Research and Education Symposium, Friday April 1, 2005, 9am - 4pm, lunch provided. The event will be held, rain or shine, at the UBC Farm. Registration cost is $15 ($10 – students).

The goals of this Symposium are to:


  • Highlight research and education work being conducted on-site

  • Facilitate discussion about potential projects and collaborations

  • Encourage involvement in Farm activities

This Symposium is intended to help establish the UBC Farm as a centre for innovative and progressive research and education that is valued by, and valuable for the university and surrounding communities. Researchers, practitioners, industry, NGO and government representatives are invited.

Symposium Schedule


  • Morning: Welcomes, Keynote Speaker, concurrent sessions

  • UBC Farm Research Visioning Session

  • Lunch: Opportunity for networking

  • Afternoon: Tours of UBC Farm
