Celebrating Canadian Heritage

UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research is proud to announce that it has joined Heritage Canada's and plans to participate in CHIN's Virtual Museum of Canada.

UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research has a rich history, from its first director being the first appointee of the new University of British Columbia to a proposal to be one of Canada's national botanic gardens in the 1970s (the program never received funding) to its modern-day participation in building research relationships with southeast Asian scientists, particularly in China and Vietnam.

By joining the Canadian Heritage Information Network, UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research is making a commitment to sharing its history and stories for the educational, research and community use of citizens both Canadian and international.
