A Lifetime in Twelve Months
Is the oft-used metaphor of seasonal changes in the garden an adequate comparison of a life lived?
Alex Waterhouse-Hayward reflects on this question and repudiates the notion because of one major difference: autumn in the garden presents an opportunity for change, where “this year's failures can be corrected”. Alex then details how autumn can be a particularly rewarding time of year for gardeners.
