PLANT-A-PALOOZA!
A free concert will take place June 19, 2004 at 2:00 pm in Mahon Park, North Vancouver. The event is a celebration of community involvement and green spaces.
Volunteers for the Mahon Park Stewardship Project, led by Evergreen and the City of North Vancouver, have been working for the past year to restore the park to a more natural state. Business and social groups from the community were involved with the project and area schools have used the park project to promote environmental stewardship.
In addition to music, there will be fun activities for children, educational displays, and a native plant sale. Mahon Park covers 26 hectares of ecologically diverse natural habitat on densely populated North Shore land. Plant-A-Palooza is a thank you to all those involved in restoring this beautiful park and a chance for the public to explore the recently restored park.
