VanDusen Garden Show

The 11th annual VanDusen Garden show takes place from June 10-13, 2004. “Garden Tales - Gardens From Literature” is this year's theme, with designs from stories such as Alice in Wonderland and The Lord of the Rings. With over 250 exhibitors and 15 theme and feature gardens, the garden show is one of the largest in North America.

Activities and displays to interest every member of the family are planned. Children will find plenty of entertainment at The Courier Kids' Corner. At the Garden Gallery, gardeners can hear from some of the most knowledgeable gardening experts in the Vancouver area, including UBC Botanical Garden's own David Tarrant and Judy Newton. New this year is the SFU's Philosophers' Café featuring panel discussions on garden topics. Chefs from some of the region's top restaurants will share their culinary mastery at the Gourmet Gallery.

Special ticket prices are in effect for the event, with advance tickets being sold for $11. The show is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm. For more information or tickets, visit VanDusen Garden Show.
